Yankee Stadium.
 
In the 2nd inning Kansas City scored 3 runs.  The key offensive moment was
provided by Tony Perez who silenced the stadium when he doubled clearing the
bases.  San Francisco had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up
short.  
 
Steve Rogers(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 8 innings and allowing
