Left fielder Greg Luzinski cracked a homer at Olympic Stadium where the
Philadelphia Indians beat the Kansas City Expos in 10 innings by the score of
4 to 3.
 
The game was deadlocked at 3 after nine full innings.  Finally, Philadelphia
pulled the game out in the 10th inning.  After an out was recorded, Tom
Hutton drew a walk.  McBride was safe at second on a stolen base.  After
another out, Mike Schmidt came to bat and doubled.  Luzinski stepped in and
he was walked intentionally.  Philadelphia finished with 7 hits in the
victory.  
 
Ron Reed(1-0) got the win allowing 2 runs in 3 innings. Gene Garber got the
save, his 1st.  The losing pitcher was Mark Littell(0-1) in relief.  He gave
up 1 run and 1 hit in 1 inning.
