Lyman Bostock homered at Busch Stadium as the Baltimore Pirates lost a
heartbreaker to St. Louis Twins by the score of 3 to 2.
 
The game was decided in the 9th inning.  Keith Hernandez doubled.  Ted Simmons
followed next and he drew a walk.  Garry Templeton then ripped a one-base hit
making St. Louis the winners and sending the 40,215 fans home happy.  St.
Louis rapped out 7 hits for the night.  
 
Al Hrabosky(1-0) went 1 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Kent
Tekulve(0-1) was given the loss in relief.  He gave up 2 hits and 1 walk
without retiring a batter.
