Milwaukee Dodgers broke the deadlock in their last at bats, pulling out a 2
to 1 win over the Texas Padres and sending their hometown fans home
smiling.
 
The game was won by Milwaukee when they scored a run in the 9th inning.  Davey
Lopes doubled.  Two outs later Dusty Baker came up and he was walked
intentionally.  Chet Lemon then slapped a base-hit to load the bases.  Ron
Cey was up next and he drew a walk giving Milwaukee the win and sending the
home town fans into a frenzy.  The game was a scoreless duel until the 6th
inning.  
 
Bob McClure(2-0) was the winner allowing no runs in 2 and 1/3 innings. Adrian
Devine(0-1) was hit with the loss in relief.  He pitched 2 and 2/3 innings
allowing 3 hits and 2 walks.
