In a good matchup it was the Milwaukee Dodgers 7, the San Francisco Yankees 5
at Dodger Stadium.
 
San Francisco was unable to recover after Milwaukee went ahead in the bottom
of the 2nd inning when they tallied 2 runs on 1 hit.  The biggest moment was
provided by Wayne Nordhagen who made the crowd happy when he doubled which
was good for two runs.  Milwaukee had 10 hits for the afternoon while San
Francisco had 7.  
 
The victory went to Jim Slaton(1-4) who went 5 and 2/3 innings, allowing 2
runs. Elias Sosa earned the save, his 1st.  Don Gullett(0-3) ended up with
the loss.  He was touched for 8 hits and 2 walks in 5 innings.  
 
The Milwaukee ballclub's record now stands at 13-7.  With the loss San
Francisco now has a record of 9-14.
