Garry Templeton had 3 base hits at Comiskey Park where the St. Louis Twins
beat the Houston White Sox by the score of 6 to 4.

Houston found themselves trailing quickly as the St. Louis bats came through
in the first inning plating one baserunner. Houston tried unsuccessfully to
come back in the 9th.

The victory was credited to Dave Goltz(2-3) who went 8 innings, allowing 3
runs. Goltz got help from Clay Carroll who earned his 1st save. The losing
pitcher was J.R. Richard(4-3). He pitched 7 innings giving up 8 hits and 1
walk.

'It was a tough one to lose' said Terry Cochran 'We'll get them next time
out.'
