Jerry Koosman racked up an impressive total of 12 strikeouts as the Boston
Mets topped the Milwaukee Dodgers by a score of 4 to 1 at Fenway
Park.
 
Koosman(5-1) delivered a fine performance for Boston.  He went 7 and 1/3
innings surrendering 10 hits and 1 walk dropping his ERA from 2.61 to 2.18.
Overall Boston out-hit Milwaukee 14 to 11.  
 
Skip Lockwood got the save, his 5th.  Tommy John(2-4) was tagged with the
loss.  He was knocked around by Boston, allowing 12 hits and 2 walks in 7
innings.  
 
'Everything felt great' Koosman said. 'I had a good fastball, I felt I could
throw it by everybody today.'
