Tom Seaver went the distance and Ron Leflore hit 2 doubles at Tiger Stadium as
the Detroit Reds beat the Philadelphia Indians by the count of 5 to
2.
 
Detroit jumped on top to stay in the 2nd inning with 2 runs on 3 hits. After
an out was recorded, Johnny Bench started the attack as he delivered a
one-base hit.  Ken Griffey followed next and he ripped a base-hit.  Leflore
then lashed a single.  Leflore took second on the throw.  Dave Concepcion
followed and he hit a sacrifice fly.  Detroit managed 8 hits in their
victory.  
 
Seaver(5-3) lasted until the end allowing 2 runs for the win. Wayne
Garland(1-4) ended up with the loss.  He saw his ERA jump from 5.51 to 5.82
as gave up 5 runs in 6 innings.
