George Hendrick knocked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI at Jack Murphy Stadium where
the Texas Padres beat the reeling San Francisco Yankees by the score of 9 to
3.

Hendrick provided much of the offense. He lifted one out of the park for a
two run home run in the 2nd inning, doubled in the 4th inning and popped a
two-run clout over the fence in the 8th inning. Texas had 10 hits for the
game and San Francisco had 6.

Gaylord Perry(4-2) got the win allowing 3 runs in 6 and 2/3 innings. Perry got
help from Roger Moret who earned his 1st save. Ed Halicki(1-3) was given the
loss.

In another of a string of victories, Texas knocked extended their winning
streak to 6 games.
