The San Francisco Yankees were certainly pleased to stop the bleeding as their
6 game losing streak was finally halted and cruised to a 7 to 2 victory over
the Detroit Reds at Yankee Stadium.
 
Don Gullett(1-3) delivered a fine performance for San Francisco.  He was
reached for 7 hits and 3 walks in 6 innings.  San Francisco ended up with 13
hits for the game while Detroit had 8.  
 
Randy Moffitt gained credit for his 1st save.  Mark Fidrych(3-1) was the
loser.  He pitched 8 innings giving up 13 hits and 1 walk.
