Mitchell Page went yard and had 2 RBI as the Atlanta Athletics defeated the
Boston Mets by a score of 8 to 7 at Oakland Coliseum.

Atlanta tallied 2 runs in the 7th inning when they had 4 base hits. It was
enough scoring to earn the victory. Boston had a chance to come back in the
9th but they came up short.

The win was credited to Dave Giusti(2-1) who went 2 innings allowing 2 runs.
Dave Campbell got the save, his 4th. Bob Stanley(2-2) was the losing pitcher
in relief.

Dale Keener was in a sour mood after the game. 'Even you guys up in the press
box know why we lost this game. We made too many mistakes.'
