Left fielder Greg Luzinski slammed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Steve Carlton
had a strong outing at Cleveland Stadium where the Philadelphia Indians beat
the Baltimore Pirates 6 to 2.
 
The Philadelphia fans enjoyed the offense provided by Luzinski.  He hit a
bases-empty home run in the 2nd inning, doubled which scored a run in the 4th
inning and smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the 6th inning.
Philadelphia had 10 hits for the night.  
 
The winning pitcher was Carlton(5-0) who allowed 2 runs for the game. John
Candelaria(3-3) was the losing pitcher.  He served up 4 gopher balls in 7
innings.
