Right fielder Andre Dawson slammed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Kansas City
Expos won in dramatic fashion over the Milwaukee Dodgers by a score of 12 to
9 at Dodger Stadium.
 
Kansas City came through with the game-winning runs in the 9th inning when
they scored 4 runs on 4 hits.  For the game Kansas City out-hit Milwaukee 16
to 11.  
 
Mark Littell(1-1) went 1 and 2/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory.
Littell got relief help from Bill Atkinson who gained credit for his 4th
save.  Charlie Hough(0-2) was tagged with the loss in relief.  He surrendered
3 runs and 3 hits in 1 inning.  
 
Stephen Roman was feeling mighty fine as he answered questions in his office
after the game, 'Now that was one fine ending! Did you see how the crowd just
sat there in silence after the winning run scored? Here we are celebrating
wildly, and the stadium is cloaked in virtual silence.  Weird. but GREAT!'
