What an evening for the San Francisco Yankees! They shellacked the Boston Mets
pitching for 12 runs while Don Gullett(2-4), with relief help from Randy
Moffitt, allowed Boston 4 runs.
 
Boston was unable to claim the lead after San Francisco went ahead in the 4th
inning scoring one runner on 2 hits.  San Francisco had 14 hits for the game
and Boston had 8.  
 
Nino Espinosa(1-3) was the losing pitcher.  He pitched 6 and 2/3 innings
giving up 7 hits and 3 walks.
