At Dodger Stadium the Milwaukee Dodgers outscored the St. Louis Twins 8 to
5.
 
Milwaukee came up with the deciding runs in the 8th inning plating 3 runs on 2
hits.  Joe Ferguson led off and started the rally when he drew a walk.  Ted
Martinez stepped into the batter's box and he reached on an error.  Davey
Lopes then delivered a single to load the bases.  Sixto Lezcano was up next
and he drew a walk.  Cecil Cooper stepped into the box and slapped a one-base
hit.  Dusty Baker contributed to the rally and drew a walk to load the bases.
Chet Lemon was next to the plate, but was promptly struck out.  Milwaukee
won despite being out-hit by St. Louis 11 hits to 8.  
 
Elias Sosa(2-0) went 1 and 2/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Butch
Metzger(1-2) took the loss in relief.  He surrendered 3 runs and 2 hits in 1
inning.
