In a game at Dodger Stadium the Milwaukee Dodgers got by the Houston White Sox
by the score of 9 to 6.
 
Milwaukee had 4 runs cross the plate in the 4th inning when they came up with
3 base hits.  The crucial at-bat was provided by Dusty Baker who came through
for the home fans when he cleared the fences for a two-run home run.  The
Houston batters went down meekly in the 9th.  
 
Tommy John(4-6) picked up the victory, allowing 6 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings.
Elias Sosa got the save, his 3rd.  Joe Niekro(3-5) took the loss.  He was
touched for 3 homeruns in his 5 innings of work.
