Second baseman Ted Martinez smacked 2 triples at Jack Murphy Stadium as the
Milwaukee Dodgers beat the Texas Padres 5 to 3.

Milwaukee came through with the game-winning runs in the 9th inning plating 2
runs utilizing 2 base hits. After an out was recorded, Martinez began the
rally when he tripled. Joe Ferguson stepped into the batter's box and he
drew a walk. One out later, Reggie Smith stepped up to the plate and he drew
a walk to load the bases. Chet Lemon came up and he slapped a single. Steve
Garvey followed, but he was set down on strikes. Milwaukee had 10 hits for
the night while Texas had 7.

The victory was credited to Eduardo Rodriguez(2-1) who went 3 innings,
