Jeff Burroughs went deep and had 4 RBI as the Atlanta Athletics crushed the
St. Louis Twins 12 to 2.
 
Burroughs made sure the Atlanta fans enjoyed themselves.  He stroked a
base-hit scoring two baserunners in the 7th inning and blasted a two-run home
run in the 8th inning.  Atlanta out-hit St. Louis for the game, 14 hits to 7.
 
The win was credited to Vida Blue(3-9) who went 7 innings allowing 2 runs. The
losing pitcher was Dave Goltz(4-5).  He was unable to control the Atlanta
offense and allowed 10 hits and 5 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.
