Ed Figueroa(2-8) and Dennis Leonard(4-6) treated the Kansas City fans to a
fine pitching duel at Olympic Stadium.  The San Francisco Yankees eventually
emerged as victors over the Kansas City Expos by the score of 2 to
1.
 
Figueroa gave San Francisco a solid outing.  He was reached for 8 hits and no
walks in 8 innings.  Kansas City threatened in the 9th but San Francisco was
able to put down the rally.  
 
Figueroa got help from Sparky Lyle who was credited with his 4th save.
