In a two run game the Baltimore Pirates put 4 runs on the scoreboard in the

Jim Palmer(5-2) had a solid outing for Baltimore.  He went 7 innings
surrendering 4 hits and 3 walks.  Baltimore took care of San Francisco with
no trouble in the bottom of the 9th.  
 
Palmer got relief help from Rich Gossage who gained credit for his 15th save.
