At Busch Stadium, the St. Louis faithful were treated to an intriguing
pitcher's duel.  Bob Forsch(2-4) finally bested his Kansas City counterpart,
Steve Rogers(6-6), by the score of 2 to 1.
 
St. Louis scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning with the help of 4
hits.  They ended up being the winning runs.  Both teams finished the game
with 5 hits.  
 
Forsch got help from Ron Schueler who was credited with his 1st save.  Rogers
was the losing pitcher.  He surrendered only 2 runs and 5 hits in 8 innings.
