John Urrea went 9 strong innings as the St. Louis Twins defeated the Kansas
City Expos by the score of 2 to 0 at Busch Stadium.

St. Louis took the lead for good in the 2nd inning scoring one runner on 2
hits. That early run support was enough for Urrea(7-2) and St. Louis.
Neither team managed to score after the 4th inning.

Marty Pattin(3-5) was hit with the loss. He gave up 2 runs and 4 hits in 5
innings. 'Urrea pitched a gem of a game', Stephen Roman recounted. 'He kept
our batters off balance the entire game.'
