Tommy John was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete
game at Wrigley Field as the Milwaukee Dodgers beat the California Cubs by
the count of 9 to 2.

California never recovered after Milwaukee took the lead in the top of the 4th
inning when they tallied 3 runs on 1 hit. The crucial at-bat was provided by
Robin Yount who disappointed the partisan crowd when he ripped a base-knock
bringing home two baserunners. Milwaukee totaled 9 hits on the night.

John(6-7), allowing 2 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Nolan
Ryan(4-12) was hit with the loss. He allowed 3 runs and 3 hits in 6 innings.
