In a great finish the Kansas City Expos came back in the top of the ninth and
held on to win over the Houston White Sox by a score of 9 to 8 at Comiskey
Park.

Kansas City had the game winning rally in the 9th inning scoring 5 runners on
3 hits. The key at-bat was by Hal McRae who helped quiet the crowd when he
lofted a three-run 'big-fly'. Kansas City had a total of 11 hits for the
game.

Don Stanhouse(1-2) went 2 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Mark
Littell gained credit for his 1st save. The loss was charged to Lerrin
Lagrow(1-2) in relief.

Stephen Roman was very happy after the game, 'It's great to come back and win
it in your last at bats! Our guys just wouldn't give up. And did you see the
fans - one minute they're laughing and screaming down all sorts of
unprintable stuff at our guys - the next minute - SILENCE! Yes sir, a very
enjoyable win tonight!'
