Ted Simmons blasted a homerun and had 4 RBI as the St. Louis Twins bested the
Philadelphia Indians 11 to 7 at Busch Stadium.

It was a good day for St. Louis thanks to Simmons. He doubled plating two
runs in the 1st inning, smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the 6th inning
and delivered a base-hit which brought home a run in the 8th inning. St.
Louis kept the pressure on throughout the contest as they scored in 6
different innings.

The win was credited to Bob Forsch(3-4) who went 8 and 1/3 innings allowing 6
runs. Larry Christenson(4-6) suffered the loss. He pitched 2/3 of an inning
and surrendered 5 hits and 1 walk.
