The Houston White Sox cruised to a 9 to 3 victory over the Kansas City Expos
at Comiskey Park.

The difference in the game was the offensive outburst by Houston in the 8th
inning as they erupted for 7 runs on 5 hits. The critical plate appearance
was by Richie Zisk who came through for the home fans when he hit a 'grand
salami' to the delight of his teammates. Houston had a total of 12 hits for
the game.

Joe Sambito(7-5) allowed no runs in 3 innings, and picked up the victory. Mark
Littell(1-2) was charged with the loss in relief. He was hit hard and gave
up 5 hits and 3 walks in 2 innings.
