Shortstop Garry Templeton had 2 base hits at Busch Stadium as the St. Louis
Twins came back dramatically to top the Philadelphia Indians by the score of
5 to 4.

St. Louis erupted with the game winning runs in the bottom of the 9th inning
when they scored 5 runs on 6 hits. The highlight belonged to Roger Freed who
brought a roar from the partisan Busch Stadium fans when he bombed a two-run
dinger. St. Louis rapped out 9 hits for the afternoon.

The victory went to Al Hrabosky(2-2) who went 1 inning, allowing no runs.
Steve Carlton(9-3) took the loss. 'What a win!', Hrabosky said. 'These are
the kind of games that stand out in your mind at the end of a season.'
