Greg Luzinski left the yard and had 2 RBI as the Philadelphia Indians
outscored the Kansas City Expos 6 to 4.
 
Philadelphia brought 2 runs across the plate in the 5th inning with the help
of 3 hits.  The biggest moment was provided by Davey Johnson who helped quiet
the crowd when he banged out a single which was good for two runs.
Philadelphia had 11 hits for the game and Kansas City had 7.  
 
Larry Christenson(5-6) got credit for the victory, pitching 7 innings and
allowing 4 runs. Christenson was helped out by Gene Garber who recorded his
11th save.  Doug Bird(2-2) was the losing pitcher.  He was touched for 11
hits and 2 walks in 4 and 1/3 innings.  
 
'I just wanted to give my team a chance to win.' said Christenson, 'I got
burned on a couple of pitches. But we won the game, and that's all that
matters.'
