Houston White Sox won a dramatic crowd-pleaser over San Francisco Yankees at
Comiskey Park pulling it out in their last at bats, 8 to 7.
 
The game was won by Houston when they scored a run in the 9th inning.  Cesar
Cedeno doubled.  Jim Essian came next and he stroked a single.  Jose Cruz
then delivered a single giving Houston the victory and sending the 16,910
home-town fans home happy.  Both teams finished the game with 10 hits.
 
Lerrin Lagrow(2-2) was the winner allowing 1 run in 1 and 1/3 innings. Dick
Tidrow(2-4) was hit with the loss in relief.  He pitched 1 inning and
surrendered 3 hits and no walks.
