Burt Hooton had an impressive outing and first baseman Steve Garvey left the
yard and had 3 RBI at Oakland Coliseum as the Milwaukee Dodgers beat the
Atlanta Athletics 7 to 1.

Milwaukee took the lead for good in the 3rd inning plating one baserunner.
Milwaukee totaled 15 hits on the night.

The win was credited to Hooton(7-4) who went the whole way allowing 1 run.
Phil Niekro(6-6) was the losing pitcher. He was touched for 9 hits and 5
walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.

'He was moving it around and spotting it very well.' HAL said. Hooton pitched
a great game. He deserves all the credit.'
