The Baltimore Pirates got by the Milwaukee Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. The
final score was 4 to 2.

Baltimore brought 3 runs across the plate in the top of the 7th inning. The

lined a base-hit scoring two baserunners. Rich Gossage earned the save with
a perfect ninth, his 20th save.

Dock Ellis(8-6) got the win allowing 1 run in 6 innings. Burt Hooton(7-5)
absorbed the loss. He was a hard-luck loser, pitching 6 and 2/3 innings and
not allowing an earned run.
