The Houston White Sox batters feasted on the California Cubs pitching at
Comiskey Park.  The final score was a lop-sided 10 to 2.
 
Houston took the lead for good in the bottom of the 5th inning plating one
baserunner.  After an out was recorded, Bill Russell laced a single.  Doug
Rau stepped up next and he reached on an error.  Richie Zisk then hit a
sacrifice fly.  Houston had 12 hits overall, while California had 7.  
 
The winning pitcher was Rau(1-4) who allowed 1 run in 6 innings. Jack Kucek
got the save, his 2nd.  Rick Reuschel(4-6) was tagged with the loss.  He
surrendered 2 runs and 3 hits in 5 innings.
