22,852 fans were treated to a fine game at Olympic Stadium as only one run
separated the combatants at game's end. The Kansas City Expos won by the
slimmest of margins, 3 to 2.

Texas lost it in the 1st inning when Kansas City did all their damage scoring
3 runners on 4 hits. That early run support was all that Doug Bird(3-3)
required. After the 2nd inning, neither team was able to score.

Steve Mingori recorded the save, his 2nd. Doyle Alexander(7-7) took the loss.
He surrendered 3 runs and 5 hits in 7 innings.
