Third baseman Steve Ontiveros had 3 base hits as the California Cubs won in
dramatic fashion over the Milwaukee Dodgers by a score of 6 to 3 at Dodger
Stadium.

California scored the decisive runs in a big 9th inning as they scored 4 runs
on 3 base hits. The highlight belonged to Thad Bosley who quieted the crowd
when he doubled scoring two baserunners. Both teams finished the game with 8
hits.

The victory was credited to Bruce Sutter(1-2) who went 1/3 of an inning,
allowing no runs. Dave Laroche earned the save, his 1st. Mike Garman(0-1)
absorbed the loss in relief.

'Chris Hackett was estatic following the game, 'You love stealing one on the
road like this. We just kept plugging away until we pulled it out!'
