45,575 fans watched an exciting game at Three Rivers Stadium.  The Kansas City
Expos topped the Baltimore Pirates by the slimmest of margins, 2 to 1.
 
The score was tied at 1 after nine.  Kansas City won the game in the 11th
inning.  After an out was recorded, Al Cowens clubbed a solo home run.  One
out later, Hal McRae stepped in and he drew a walk.  Both teams totaled 7
hits on the afternoon.  
 
The victory was credited to Don Stanhouse(3-2) who went 1 and 1/3 innings,
allowing no runs. Stanhouse was helped out by Bill Atkinson who recorded his
10th save.  Kent Tekulve(4-2) took the loss in relief.
