What a day for the Texas Padres! They shellacked the Milwaukee Dodgers
pitching for 10 runs while Doyle Alexander(8-7), with relief help from Mike
Marshall, surrendered 2 runs to Milwaukee.

George Hendrick was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he
provided much of the offense for the visitors. He smashed a two-run homer in
the 5th inning, doubled bringing home two baserunners in the 6th inning and
stroked a single in the 8th inning. Texas had 15 hits for the game and
Milwaukee had 6.

Jim Slaton(6-8) was the losing pitcher. He was hit hard and gave up 8 hits
and 2 walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.
