The Kansas City Expos scored 4 runs in the 1st inning and edged the Baltimore
Pirates at Three Rivers Stadium by the score of 5 to 4.
 
Hal McRae enjoyed a fine evening at the plate.  He tripled plating two runs in
the 1st inning and delivered a solo blast in the 8th inning.  Kansas City and
Baltimore each finished the night with 9 hits.  
 
The victory went to Mark Littell(2-3) who went 2 innings, allowing no runs.
Littell got relief help from Joe Kerrigan who gained credit for his 1st save.
Grant Jackson(3-2) was tagged with the loss in relief.  
 
Wth the win Kansas City now has a record of 31-48.  With the loss Baltimore
now has a record of 47-31.
