Don Baylor rocketed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and Frank Tanana allowed Chris
Hackett to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game at Tiger Stadium where
the California Cubs beat the Detroit Reds by the score of 5 to 4.

Baylor provided much of the offense. He blasted a solo shot in the 2nd inning
and lofted a three-run 'big-fly' in the 3rd inning. California managed 10
hits in their victory.

The win was credited to Tanana(14-6) who went the whole way allowing 4 runs.
Dave Rozema(8-1) was the loser. 'I just wanted to give my team a chance to
win.' said Tanana, 'I got burned on a couple of pitches. But we won the game,
and that's all that matters.'
