At Comiskey Park, the Houston fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel. John
Candelaria(8-7) finally bested his Houston opposite, Rick Rhoden(8-2), by the
score of 2 to 1.

Candelaria looked very much in control throughout the night. He didn't give
up much, just 3 hits and 3 walks in 8 innings. Baltimore had 8 hits overall,
while Houston had 3.

Candelaria got help from Rich Gossage who was credited with his 25th save.
Rhoden ended up with the loss. He gave up 7 hits and no walks in 6 innings.
