At Busch Stadium the California Cubs were battered 10 to 5 by the St. Louis
Twins.
 
John Urrea(11-3) had a solid outing for St. Louis.  He was reached for 6 hits
and 1 walk in 8 and 1/3 innings and allowed 2 gopher balls.  Overall St.
Louis out-hit California 15 to 6.  
 
Nolan Ryan(4-17) was charged with the loss.  He was unable to control the St.
Louis offense and allowed 7 hits and 3 walks in 3 innings.  
 
This win by St. Louis continues their recent hot streak.  In their last ten
games, they have a record of 8-2.  For the season, they are 49-37.  Not able
to get much going in recent weeks, California is 2-8 of late and now has an
overall record of 39-52.
